My report from September 5, 2009, faithfully submitted for your review…
Hrs of sleep:
3/4 c tomatoes
1/4 c onions
3/4 c snap peas
1/2 red pepper
1 c lettuce
100 jump rope
60 walking lunges
50 plank rows, 20-lb. dumbbells
40 overhead press, 20-lb. dumbbells
20 swings, 30-lbs.
My time: 28:50
Sprint/ rest :60
Sprint/ rest :50
Sprint/ rest :40
Sprint/ rest :30
Sprint/ rest :20
(We ran the from the green truck to the white car in the parking lot… don’t know the distance, but it took us about 8 seconds to cover.)
The quality of the nine hours was somewhat iffy, but hormone poisoning should be easing off after today. Even though my sleep was only OK, I woke up feeling refreshed and ready for my workout. And that workout — a Crystal classic — was a doozie! At pushup number 25, I thought, “I can’t do 45 more of these.” But I did. Touched my chest to the ground on every one. It was VERY unpleasant. But I made a promise to myself that during these two weeks, I’m going to do all my movements with the heaviest weight I can and with the full range of motion… no matter how long it takes or how uncomfortable it makes me feel.
The veggie/fruit count is pretty low because I went out for Tex-Mex breakfast after our workout and ate some corn tortilla chips — and then went to a movie in the evening and ate popcorn! Not the best way to get my carbs…
